Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Keynotes The Salvation Army of Irving Event Next Month

The Salvation Army of Irving has roped in one of the area's most famous personalities to serve as keynote speaker at their annual Super Lunch. Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones has the honor of making a return visit to the event.

Jones spoke at the inaugural Super Lunch in 1993 and was the keynote presenter for several years following. This year's event takes place at the Irving Convention Center on December 12th.

There will be a pre-lunch reception that begins at 11 a.m. and features a silent auction. Individual tickets are $100 and sponsorships range in price from $1,200-$25,000.

Jones has been the owner, president and general manager of the Cowboys since 1989. The franchise quickly turned around under his watch, winning Super Bowls in 1992, 1993 and 1995.

Jones has continued to have success at the helm of the team, winning NFL Executive of the Year in 2014. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year.

Jones was a successful football player himself, serving as a co-captain on Arkansas' 1964 National Championship team. He made his money in the gas exploration business prior to purchasing the Cowboys.
