Cubs All-Star Dexter Fowler Hosts Chicago-Area Youth Camp

Two weeks from now, All-Star outfielder Dexter Fowler will teach baseball fundamentals of an excited group of Chicago Cubs fans.  The Dexter Fowler Baseball ProCamp will be August 15th at Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Kids in grades 1-8 are eligible to attend.  The camp session runs from 4-7 p.m.

Registration costs $119.  Campers will receive a Fowler autograph, camp t-shirt and team photo.

Fowler was named to his first All-Star squad this season.  He joined the Cubs last season and helped them win 97 games and reach the National League Championship Series.

Prior to arriving in Chicago, Fowler spent one season with the Houston Astros.  He began his career with the Colorado Rockies, spending his first six years with the club.

Before Fowler was called up to the big leagues for the first time in 2008, he won a bronze medal with Team USA at the Olympics.  The Rockies selected him in the 14th round of the 2004 MLB Draft out of high school.
