Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo Makes Father's Day Appearance at Dallas Target

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made a surprise appearance at a local Target store last Wednesday to help Father's Day shoppers. People in the store were certainly shocked to see him in attendance.

Romo gave gift suggestions and also handed out some gift cards at the Cityplace Market location.  People quickly figured out he was in the building and flocked to take pictures and get autographs.

Certainly Dallas has a special relationship with the Cowboys quarterback and that was evident to anyone on hand at Target.  It made for a special way to kick off Father's Day week.

Romo is battling back from a shoulder injury that ended his season last year.  The four-time Pro Bowler is likely to find himself among the greatest quarterbacks in the league again.

Romo holds franchise records for passing yards and touchdowns.  He has led the NFC in passer rating on two occasions and passing yards and touchdowns once.

What makes Romo;'s career all the more impressive is that he was originally undrafted out of Eastern Illinois in 2003.  While at EIU, he won the Walter Payton Award, FCS football's answer to the Heisman Trophy.
