College Football Legend Steve Spurrier Keynotes HLGU Booster Banquet

After retiring from coaching, college football legend Steve Spurrier has maintained a busy schedule to speaking to groups across the country. Hs is next slated to appear at the 76th annual Hannibal-LaGrange University Booster Banquet. 

The event will be held on November 16th at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $75, executive admission tickets are $200 and an eight-person table is $1,500. 

The executive admission includes a private reception where fans can meet Spurrier and get a photo taken. The former coach is sure to be insightful and entertaining when addressing a number of topics. 

Spurrier is best identified for his association with the University of Florida. He was a two-time consensus All-American and the 1966 Heisman Trophy winner as a quarterback for the Gators.

After a career in the NFL, Spurrier got into coaching as an assistant at Florida. He got his first head coaching opportunity at Duke and won the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1989. 

Spurrier went on to lead his alma mater to six Southeastern Conference championships and the 1996 national title. He is one of the few people inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player and coach.
