Cleveland Cavaliers Forward Kevin Love Becomes Banana Republic's New Brand Ambassador

Playing with a star-studded roster on the court may make it tough for Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love to grab the spotlight at times.  As one of the most stylish players in the NBA however, that experience is not replicated off the court.

Marketers have taken note of Love's way with fashion.  Last March, he made a big foray into the fashion world appearing on the cover of GQ.

Love is now a new brand ambassador for Banana Republic after originally posting a teaser on Instagram for the announcement last Tuesday.  HIs spring campaign dropped officially today and he told US Weekly that his favorite item is the Coolmax sweater.

Love is a three-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA second-team member.  This season, he is posting averages of 15.7 points and ten rebounds per game for the Eastern Conference-leading Cavaliers.

In his first season with Cleveland, Love helped position the team for a run to the NBA Finals despite going down with a left shoulder injury during the first round of the playoffs.  He was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014 in a blockbuster three-team deal that also included that summer's top overall pick, Andrew Wiggins.

Love became a dominant force in Minnesota, leading the league in rebounding and winning Most Improved Player in 2011.  The following year, he won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA at the London Games.
