Chicago Cubs Second Year Star Kris Bryant Named Express Brand Ambassador

Last week, Express teased their big announcement of a new brand ambassador all week.  The man they selected to represent them is Chicago Cubs phenom Kris Bryant.

The match of the clothing brand with the young Bryant makes for perfect synergy.  All week, Express' Snapchat and Instagram featured videos promoting him as their new face.

In a short spot for the company, Bryant repeated the familiar axiom, "They say you look good, you play good".  Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry is another athlete who is also featured as a brand ambassador for Express.

Bryant stormed to National League Rookie of the Year honors in 2015, batting .275 with 26 home runs and 99 RBI.  He also made the All-Star team and was a two-time NL Rookie of the Month.

Most importantly, Bryant helped the upstart Cubs make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2008.  They won 97 games during the regular season and advance all the way to the NLCS before being ousted by the New York Mets.

Coming into the 2015 season, Bryant was regarded as the top prospect in the game by Baseball America.  Chicago originally selected him second in the 2013 MLB Draft after he won the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy as a junior at the University of San Diego.
