Caitlyn Jenner Speaks at the 7th Annual Chicago House Speaker Series Luncheon

Caitlyn Jenner has been busy shedding light on trans causes since her public transition earlier this year.  This month, Jenner spoke at the 7th annual Chicago House Speaker Series Luncheon.

The luncheon was held at the Chicago Hilton.  Chicago House is a housing provider for those impacted by HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ marginalization.

Jenner has always been one of the country’s most sought-after public speakers.  Now her presentation has a new narrative, as she takes people through her life as an Olympic champion with the backdrop of a significant internal battle with her sense of self.

In addition to the speech, Jenner visited with members of the LGBTQ community and took a tour of the Chicago House’s center for trans people.

Jenner originally gained fame as the 1976 Olympic gold medalist in the decathlon.  That triumph on the big stage led to a life in the public eye, appearing on television and in movies.

Most recently, Jenner was known for being the father figure on the reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.  Now, as the most famous openly transgender person in the world, she stars on the show I Am Cait and reaches new audiences with her message.
