Buffalo Bills First Round Pick Shaq Lawson Signs New Era Endorsement Deal

The Buffalo Bills were ecstatic to get Shaq Lawson last night at 19th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft.  New Era was similarly excited earlier in the week when they inked the former Clemson defensive end to an endorsement deal.

Lawson was one of two NFL Draft prospects who became the newest brand ambassadors for New Era.  They also aggreed to a deal with Dallas Cowboys second round pick Jaylon Smith.

Lawson made an appearance for New Era at the NFL Store on Wednesday.  There will apparently be more in-person promotional opportunities as the year goes on.

As a first year starter at Clemson last year, Lawson made his mark.  He led the Atlantic Coast Conference with 12.5 sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss.  His tackles for loss total also led the FBS.

Lawson was a consensus All-American in 2015.  He also helped the Tigers compile a perfect regular season record and maked a CFP National Championship game appearance against Alabama.

Lawson has been impactful throughout his Clemson career.  As a freshman, he tied the school record for a first-year player with four sacks.
