Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn Keynotes Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame Ceremony Next Month

After taking the Atlanta Falcons to Super Bowl LI, head coach Dan Quinn has become a favorite among sports fans in the region. Some will get to see him next month when he serves as keynote speaker for the Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The event takes place on May 19th at the Infinite Energy Center with a VIP party for sponsors kicking off festivities at 5:30 p.m. It serves as a fundraiser for the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation.

The five members of this year's hall of fame class were announced this week. Individual tickets are $200 to attend and sponsorship packages range in price from $2,000-$20,000.

As a second-year head coach, Quinn guided the Falcons to an 11-5 record, NFC South Division title and the Super Bowl appearance. In his first season, Atlanta went 8-8.

Prior to getting the job, Quinn spent two seasons as the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator. The franchise made back-to-back Super Bowl trips and won Super Bowl XLVIII.

Quinn also spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons in Seattle before leaving to serve as the defensive coordinator with the Florida Gators for two years. He originally started his coaching career on the college level before becoming a defensive line coach with the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.
