1993 Heisman Trophy Winner Charlie Ward Makes Appearance at Orlando FSU Watch Party

One of the most beloved players in Florida State football history is former Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward.  On Saturday, Seminoles fans in Orlando will get a chance to mix and mingle with the FSU icon.

Ward will be making an appearance at the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando's watch party for the Wake Forest game, Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.

The Orlando Noles host their game viewings each week at Ferg’s Depot on Church Street in downtown Orlando.

Most VIP pass opportunities are already sold out, but fans can still get an opportunity for Ward to sign an FSU mini helmet for $40.  More information can be found at https://orlandoseminoles.com/2015_FSU_vs_WF_GWP

Ward holds a dear place in Seminoles’ hearts for taking the program to their first National Championship in 1993.  In addition to his Heisman that year, he won the second of two ACC Player of the Year awards, the Maxwell Award, and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

A two-sport star at FSU, Ward went on to play 11 seasons in the NBA.  He spent ten of those with the New York Knicks and became a fan favorite for his relentless work ethic.

After several years away as an NBA and high school football coach in Houston, Ward is back in the Sunshine State as the head football coach at Booker T. Washington in Pensacola.  With the Wildcats, he gets the opportunity to coach his son Caleb, who is a sophomore at the school.
