WWE Star John Cena Named Honorary Pace Car Driver for the Daytona 500

Worlds will collide at this weekend's Daytona 500.  WWE superstar John Cena is making an appearance at the kickoff to the NASCAR season as a honorary pace car driver.

Cena will lead the grouping of 40 cars to the green light to start the race.  There will certainly be a great deal of crossover fans from the two organizations excited to see him on the track.

In 2012, he served as the honorary starter at the race. This year, that role will be filled by legendary baseball player Ken Griffey Jr.

Cena is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury he suffered in December.  When he returns, there are no doubts that he will be right back on top of the wrestling world.

With one of the most impressive resumes in the history of the WWE, Cena has won 24 championships and has had 15 turns as a world champion.

Cena has headlined WrestleMania five times.  Outside of the ring, he is an accomplished film star and has also released a rap album.
