J.J. Watt Enters Endorsement Partnership with Mizzen+Main Dress Shirts

With his whit and affable personality flashing weekly on the HBO series Hard Knocks, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt stole the show this preseason.  The endorsements also keep filing in one of the NFL’s most dominant players on the field.

Watt has a new partnership with the Dallas-based shirt maker, Mizzen+Main.  The most interesting part of the deal is the undisclosed equity share he will get in the company that soared since it was founded in 2012.

The popularity of Watt is only going to continue to grow.  In addition to Mizzen+Main, he has endorsements with Reebok, American Family Insurance, Verizon, Gatorade, Reliant, and HEB according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

While he is just in his fifth NFL season, Watt already has two Defensive Player of the Year awards under his belt.  The three-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro is the reigning winner of that trophy after a dominant 2014.

Watt finished as runner-up in MVP voting last season after collecting 20.5 sacks.  He also improbably scored five touchdowns and set career franchise records for forced fumbles and sacks.

In the opening game of the season last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs, Watt recorded nine tackles and two sacks.  Expect more of the same dominating play all year long.
