Former Michigan Tight End Jake Butt Signs Endorsement Deal with Charmin

Time and time again, names have proven to open the door for unique endorsement opportunities. Former Michigan tight end and NFL Draft hopeful Jake Butt has been able to convert in the same way off his namesake.

Proctor & Gamble brand, Charmin, is now working with Butt. They delivered a dumpster filled with toilet paper to his Pickerington, Ohio home on Wednesday, just prior to the start of the first round of the draft Thursday.

There is no indication of the depth of the relationship with Butt and P&G. Butt has certainly had to learn how to embrace his last name over the years and now hopes to hear that name called early this weekend.

Butt played all four years at Michigan and became one of the best tight ends in college football. He was a two-time first-team All-American and two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection.

Butt won the Ozzie Newsome Award in 2015 and the John Mackey Award in 2016. He was a two-time recipient of the Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year from the Big Ten.

While at Michigan, Butt played in the 2013 and 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl and the 2016 Orange Bowl. When he signed with the Wolverines, he was considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com.
