About Wesley Johnson
Wesley Johnson is a starting wing player for the Los Angeles Lakers. Johnson also played a pair of seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves and spent one campaign with the Phoenix Suns. With the Lakers in 2013-14, he reached career highs in almost every statistical category while starting 62 games. Johnson was originally selected fourth overall by the Timberwolves in the 2010 NBA Draft. In his rookie season, he was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team. He split his college career between Iowa State and Syracuse. Johnson was a All-Big 12 Freshman with the Cyclones. He transferred prior to his junior season and the move paid off. With averages of 16 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, Johnson was the Big East Player of the Year for the Orange and a first-team All-American. He is from Corsicana, Texas and went to Corsicana High School.
