About Tyvon Branch
After finishing his college career at the University of Connecticut by being named Second-Team All-Big East (2007), Tyvon Branch entered the 2008 NFL Draft where he was selected in the 4th round by the Oakland Raiders. Branch was implemented right away by the Raiders, not only as a defensive back but also for his ability to make plays as a return specialist. Branch earned his first start at the beginning of the 2009 season where he recorded 98 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. He continued to impress for the Raiders organization and in 2012 they placed a franchise tag on the strong safety. Now a 7 season veteran, Branch has over 450 tackles with 8 sacks and 4 interceptions despite battling severe injuries over the last two seasons.
