About Tyson Alualu
Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, Tyson Alualu was the 2nd overall prospect coming out of the state when he accepted an athletics scholarship to play defensive end for the University of California Golden Bears. He saw time in every game of his college career, starting the final 39 in a row. Alualu was named First-Team All-Pac 10 following his senior season and although he was projected as a low-first round pick at the most for the 2010 NFL Draft, he was selected 10th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the biggest surprise of the Draft. Following his rookie season in 2010, Alualu was selected to the NFL All-Rookie Team. Alualu continued to prove himself reliable through seven seasons in Jacksonville. He then spent four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers before returning to the Jaguars in 2021.
