Tyreke Evans

Averaging 32.1 points per game as a high school senior in Pennsylvania, Tyreke Evans was already the #6 rated player in the country and only added to the hype when he was named MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game in 2008. Evans attended the University of Memphis where he was moved around in the starting rotation until he found his home as the point guard for the Tigers. Evans averaged 17.1 ppg as a freshman, winning Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors and being named as the only freshman to be a finalist for the US Basketball Writers Association Player of the Year award. Evans declared for the NBA Draft following his freshman season and was selected 4th overall by the Sacramento Kings. Evans started every game as a rookie for the Kings, averaging 20.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, and 5.8 apg, becoming just the 4th player in NBA history to average 20/5/5 as a rookie. Evans was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year in his first season and continued to find success for the Kings until being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans before the 2013 season where he currently plays as the starting point guard.
