About Tyler Ulis
Tyler Ulis got the opportunity to take part in two spectacular seasons of Kentucky basketball. As a freshman in 2015, he led a Wildcats team in assists that won their first 38 games before bowing out to Wisconsin in the Final Four. While not being a starter in any game, Ulis was still extremely impactful and was also named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team. It was his sophomore season where he would really take off however. Ulis averaged 17.3 points and 7.0 assists per game. He was named SEC Player of the Year and SEC Defensive Player of the Year. The consensus All-American was even better once the postseason rolled around. In the championship game of the SEC Tournament, Ulis poured in a career-high 30 points on the way to Tournament MVP honors. After an opening round NCAA Tournament win over Stony Brook, he dropped 27 points albeit in a losing effort to Indiana. Ulis was recruited to UK as a consensus five-star prospect out of Chicago's Marian Catholic.
