About Tom Gillis
Tom Gillis is a Michigan man. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan, graduated from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan, and turned pro after playing golf at Oakland Community College in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Upon graduating in 1990 he joined the Nationwide Tour and Web.com Tour, accumulating five professional wins before joining the PGA Tour in 2010. To date, Gillis’ best performance in a major tournament came in 2008 at The Open Championship in which he finished tied for 58th. His other notable accomplishments include winning the 2008 Michigan Open and the 2009 Nationwide Tour Players Cup. Gillis is a consistent pro golfer with style and charisma, and is set to continue performing on the PGA Tour’s biggest stage for years to come.
