About Timofey Mozgov
Timofey Mozgov is larger than life in the basketball world, literally. At 7’1 he is a force to be reckoned with down low, and showed that in 2010 when he signed a three-year, $9.7 free agent contract with the New York Knicks. Prior to joining the Knicks he played overseas in his home country of Russia, but his dream was always to come to the United States and play in the NBA. During his first season he put up a career night of 23 points and 14 rebounds against the Pistons and showed the potential that everyone knew he had when he signed. He’s since seen time with the Denver Nuggets in 2011 and with the Russian Olympic team in 2012 during the London Olympic Games. It was during that time that his skills truly shined, as he led Russia to a bronze medal performance at the games.
