About Tage Thompson
Tage Thompson is an All-Star center and alternate captain for the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL. He was drafted 26th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2016 before being traded to Buffalo in 2018. After two seasons at the University of Connecticut, he broke out with 38 goals in 2021-22 and has since posted multiple 40+ goal seasons, including 44 in 2024-25. Son of former NHL player Brent Thompson, he overcame early career challenges to become a star. In 2026, Thompson won gold with Team USA at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, scoring three goals in six games, including key contributions en route to the 2-1 OT victory over Canada, earning America's first men's hockey gold since 1980.
