About Spencer Fisher
Spencer Fisher is a semi-retired mixed martial artist. As a child, Fisher played soccer and he was a fan of professional wrestling. Fisher was introduced to martial arts at a young age when he would practice Shotokan Karate and Jeet Kun Do in his school’s cafeteria. In 1992, Fisher began practicing boxing and soon after he began his MMA training. Fisher’s professional MMA debut came in 1997. He compiled a 14-1 record before he was signed with the UFC. Fisher made his UFC debut at Ultimate Fight Night 2 where he was victorious over Thiago Alves. So far in his career, Fisher has fought in a total of 33 fights. He was won 24 of those fights; 10 by knockout, 9 by submission and 5 by decision. On June 22, 2012, Fisher fought Sam Stout and lost the fight by unanimous decision. After the loss, Fisher announced that he would be retiring from MMA, but he decided against it and was expected to fight Yves Edwards on July 27, 2013.
