Skip Schumaker Biography

Skip Schumaker is the manager of the Miami Marlins. Schumaker became the skipper of the Marlins after well-regarded stints as a coach for the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals. As a player, he was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2001 MLB Draft by the Cardinals after hitting .400 at UCSB in his only full season of college baseball. Schumaker debuted with St. Louis in 2005 and became a fan favorite over the next eight seasons. He was also on two World Series-winning teams.
