Shane Greene Biography

Shane Greene is a pitcher for the Atlanta Braves who truly blossomed during the first-half of the 2019 season while he was still with the Detroit Tigers. Greene made his debut All-Star appearance, saving 22 games while posting a 0.87 ERA over baseball's first half. He originally became the Tigers closer midway through the 2017 season. That year, he made 71 appearances and registered a then-career best 2.66 ERA. Greene originally made his Tigers debut in 2015 and spent his first two seasons splitting time between the bullpen and starting rotation. The New York Yankees selected him in the 15th round of the 2009 MLB Draft and he made his major league debut with the team in 2014 before being traded to Detroit.
