About Samantha Cools
Samantha Cools, most commonly referred to as “Sammy”, is a very well established Canadian BMX racer. Cools was born in 1986 and was introduced to the sport by her two brothers, one of whom was the coach of the New Zealand BMX team. Shockingly, Cools began competing at three years old and won her very first race shortly after she learned how to walk. She competed in her first international race at the age of ten and has never looked back since. She is currently a thirteen-time Canadian national champion and a five-time world junior champion. Cools has raced for as an amateur for Staats Bicycles and Supercross BMX as well as professionally for Supercross BMX, Airride BMX and the CCA National Team. She most recently competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she qualified for the final event. Cools continues to make her country proud as she represents them in her women’s Bicycle Motorcross endeavors.
