About Sam Pittman
Sam Pittman is the head football coach at the University of Arkansas. Prior to becoming a head coach, Pittman had extensive coaching experience, primarily working with the offensive line at several different programs. He was at the University of Georgia prior to joining the Razorbacks and helped UGA win three straight SEC East Division titles. Pittman also garnered recognition as one of the top recruiters in college football during his time in Athens. Before taking the job, he had experience at Arkansas as an assistant from 2013-15. Pittman has been an offensive line coach at other top schools in the country, like Oklahoma, North Carolina and Tennessee. Pittman began his coaching career at his alma mater, Pittsburg State, in 1984. He went on to coach several high school programs until landing back in the college ranks at Hutchinson Community College. After one season coaching the Blue Dragons offensive line, he was promoted to head coach and went 11-9-1 over two seasons.
