Rich Froning Biography

Rich Froning is a professional CrossFit athlete. He first garnered an interest in CrossFit as a workout style when he was doing workouts at the fire department where he worked. He quickly developed a passion for the program and in 2010 he began coaching and competing. When not competing in events, Rich owns and operates CrossFit Mayhem, a CrossFit gym, in Cookeville, Tennessee. Rich has accomplished some remarkable personal bests during his workouts including a 370 pound clean and jerk, a 305 pound snatch, 545 pound deadlift, and a 445 pound backsquat. It is that kind of strength that aided Rich in winning the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 CrossFit Games and becoming a four time consecutive “Fittest Man on Earth” title holder.
