About Peter Chiarelli
Peter Chiarelli is the vice president of hockey operations and general manager for the St. Louis Blues. He was previously the general manager for the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers made the playoffs in 2017 for the first time in 11 seasons. Chiarelli's first draft pick, Connor McDavid, has become a franchise cornerstone and one of the top stars in the NHL. Before being hired by the Oilers, Chiarelli was the general manager of the Boston Bruins. He served in the role from 2006-15 and won a Stanley Cup with the team in 2011. Chiarelli originally started his career in hockey as a player agent. He joined the Ottawa Senators organization in 1999 and rose to the position of assistant general manager.
