Patrick Deneen Biography

Patrick Deneen is a professional freestyle skier, representing the United States in competitions. Deneen grew up around skiing, and started training at a young age. At the age of seven, Deneen competed in his first competition, becoming a top ranked junior in a short time. Deneen turned professional in 2005, but injuries hampered him throughout the beginning of his professional career. In his first competition back from injury, Deneen won a bronze medal at the 2006 Junior Championships. During this time he also competed for the United States Ski Team, starting multiple World Cup events for the national team. In 2010, Deneen represented the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics, but failed to come home with a medal. Deneen has won one World Championship and finished on the podium three times in World Cup challenges, achieving two bronze and one gold medal.
