Pat White

Pat White is a professional quarterback, widely known for his prolific college career at West Virginia University. A high profile recruit out of high school, White chose to play for West Virginia over Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and many more high profile football schools. White saw limited playing time over the first half of his freshman season, but took over as starter during the seventh game against Louisville, leading the Mountaineers to their first undefeated conference season in 14 years and a berth in the 2006 Sugar Bowl against Georgia, winning 38-35. White and running back Steve Slaton would go on to lead a prolific West Virginia offense, setting many records and winning four straight bowl games, an NCAA record. White was a finalist for the Heisman trophy in two season, and is the most successful quarterback in West Virginia history. After graduating, White entered the 2009 NFL draft, where he was drafted in the second round by the Miami Dolphins. White saw time in the new “Wildcat” formation, but never really had an impact as a pure quarterback. Since his time with the Dolphins, White has bounced around from the UFL, back to the NFL, and is now playing for the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL.
