About Nate Freiman
Nate Freiman is a professional baseball player in Major League Baseball as a first baseman with the Oakland Athletics. Nate began playing competitively in high school where he was a pitcher and catcher for the team. While still in high school he was named the best player in Massachusetts in his final two years, and Baseball America rated him as one of the top 50 high school prospects in the country. He then played in college at Duke where he set the record for most home runs and has the schools second highest all-time batting average. In 2009 he was drafted in the MLB Draft and spent the next few seasons developing his skills in the minors before making it to the majors in 2013 with the As. In his short career to date he has racked up a .256 batting average with 9 home runs and 39 runs batted in.
