Nate Clements Biography

Nate Clements is a former professional football player in the NFL. He started out playing football competitively in high school where he quickly exhibited his skills on the field and was named an All-American by USA Today. Nate made the transition to college at Ohio State where he continued to play successfully. His production on the field that included four intercepted passes led him to become an All-Big 10 first team selection. After deciding to forego his senior season he became the 21st overall selection in the 2001 NFL Draft. With numbers that included 812 tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks, and 36 intercepted passes, Nate earned himself a Pro Bowl selection. His best game came in 2002 when he set a career high of 3 interceptions in one game against the Dolphins which earned him Defensive Player of the Week honors. While he was playing for the 49ers he was even named the Team MVP in 2007.
