About Matt Schaub
Matt Schaub is a professional quarterback for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. While attending West Chester East High School, Schaub was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. As a senior, Schaub led his team to win the ChesMont League championship. Schaub attended the University of Virginia where he was redshirted as a freshman. In 2002, Schaub was named the starting quarterback after Bryson Spinner transferred to the University of Richmond. Schaub was named the 2002 ACC Player of the Year, 2002 Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-State Virginia Sports Information Directors Association. The Atlanta Falcons selected Schaub in the 3rd round as the 90th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. Schaub remained with the Falcons until 2006. He was then traded to the Houston Texans where he remained until 2013. Schaub was traded to the Oakland Raiders on March 21, 2014.
