Matt Lottich Biography

Matt Lottich is the head men's basketball coach at Valparaiso University. He was named the head coach in 2016 after three seasons as an assistant with the program. In his first season, Lottich led the Crusaders to a 24-9 record and Horizon League regular season championship. During the season, they defeated a nationally-ranked Rhode Island team and won the MGM Grand Main Event. They received a postseason birth into the NIT. Lottich was hired to the Valparaiso staff after a nine-year playing career spent overseas in New Zealand, Germany and Japan. Lottich played college basketball at Stanford and was an All-Pac 10 honorable mention as a senior. The Cardinal also won the Pac 10 title in his final campaign.
