Mark Hudspeth

Mark Hudspeth is currently known for being the head football coach at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His prior coaching positions have been held at the University of North Alabama as head coach and at Mississippi State as an assistant coach. Prior to coaching, Hudspeth was born in 1968 in Mississippi and grew up to become a four-year football letterman at Delta State University. With football always being a passion of his, making a career out of coaching was not a hard choice. Hudspeth began this journey in 1992 working with the University of Central Arkansas Bears football program. Coaching for a variety of other colleges and universities throughout the country since then, Hudspeth settled down with the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2011 as head coach and his very first year, led the team to the New Orleans Bowl, their first bowl in 41 years. After just two seasons at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Hudspeth had led the Cajuns to an 18-8 record and a second consecutive New Orleans Bowl victory over East Carolina in 2012. The Cajuns were certainly lucky to receive Hudspeth, as he is expected to bring them to do more great things in the years to come.
