About Lavonte David
Lavonte David is a linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and one of the NFL’s most feared defenders. The Buccaneers originally selected David in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He recorded at least 100 total tackles in each of his first three seasons. David led Tampa Bay with 139 combined tackles as a rookie and was named to the 2012 Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team. He was named a first-team All-Pro in 2013 and became just the second player in league history to record over 100 tackles, six sacks and five interceptions. David went on to be named a Pro Bowler in 2015 and a second-team All-Pro in 2016. He played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he was a two-time first-team All-American. David’s 285 tackles rank fourth in Cornhuskers history.
