About Lamarr Woodley
LaMarr Woodley is professional football player who plays defensive end for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. While in high school, Woodley was rated the number 4 college prospect in the country. Woodley attended the University of Michigan where he played football for the Wolverines from 2003-06. As a senior, Woodley was a unanimous first-team All-American, first-team All-Big Ten selection and he won the Lombardi award as the lineman in the country. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Woodley in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Woodley recorded his first sack in his second NFL game against the Buffalo Bills. Woodley helped the Steelers advance to Super Bowl XLII where they beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. On March 13, 2014, Woodley signed a two-year contract with the Oakland Raiders. In 2012, Woodley started a foundation to coordinate charitable events. The LaMarr Woodley Foundation is a non-profit organization that gives underprivileged youth and adults and opportunity to overcome their misfortunes.
