About Juan Diaz
Juan Diaz won his first 33 professional boxing bouts from 2000 to 2007. During that span he won the WBA World Lightweight title, WBA Super Lightweight title, WBO Lightweight title, and IBF Lightweight title. After losing his first fight in 2008 he came back with a vengeance, winning the IOB Lightweight title in his next fight. He’d go on to regain the WBO Lightweight title and post a 40-4 career record before retiring in 2011. His incredible career includes wins over some of the top boxers in the world, with 19 of his 40 wins coming by knockout. With his nickname “Baby Bull”, he entered the ring with a tenacity that was unrivaled by his opponents. His work ethic was legendary, and he took that into retirement in pursuit of his law degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Law School.
