Jon Kolb

Jon Kolb played in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers for 13 seasons from 1969 to 1981 as an offensive lineman. Kolb joined the Steelers as a third round selection in 1969 after a standout career at Oklahoma State University in which he earned consecutive All-Big Eight honors in 1967 and 1968 and All-American honors in 1968. During his career with the Steelers he was named an NEA First Team All-Pro in 1979 and was a consistent starter for the Steelers for over a decade. In 1978 an 1979, while still playing with the Steelers, he also competed in the World’s Strongest Man competition and played fourth in consecutive years. Upon his retirement from the NFL in 1981 he became the strength and conditioning coach for the Steelers and has gone on to become a part-time professor in the Human Performance and Exercise Science department at Youngtown State University
