About John Harbaugh
John Harbaugh is the head coach for the New York Giants who built his coaching legacy as a Super Bowl champion for the Baltimore Ravens.The Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII 34-31 over the San Francisco 49ers and Harbaugh beat his brother Jim, the Niners head coach, in the process.
Harbaugh is the only head coach ever to win in the postseason in each of his first five seasons.His only NFL job prior to heading up the Ravens was as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles.Harbaugh served in that post under Ray Rhodes and Andy Reid for ten seasons.
Previously, he had been a college assistant for a number of years. Harbaugh got his start in coaching on his dad Jack’s staff at Western Michigan.He spent his college playing career as a defensive back at Miami University.When one adds up the achievements of Jack, Jim, and John, the Harbaughs might go down as the greatest coaching family in football history.
