Joe Ogilvie Biography

Joe Ogilvie is the pride of Lancaster, Ohio and starred on the Duke University golf team before turning pro in 1996. After turning pro he joined the Nationwide Tour and won the NIKE Monterrey Open and NIKE Greensboro Open in 1998 before successfully completing Qualifying School and earning his PGA Tour Card in 1999. In 2001 he put his name on the map with a 25th place finish at The Open Championship and then captured two more Nationwide Tour wins in 2003 at the Jacob’s Creek Open and The Reese’s Cup Classic. Two years later he captured a 17th place finish at the PGA Championship and a 25th place finish at the Masters Tournament in route to winning the 2007 U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. The following year he finished 36th at the U.S. Open and went on to announce his retirement in 2014 after his 399th PGA Tour start.
