About Joe Lacob
Joe Lacob is the owner of the Golden State Warriors. He led a group of investors in 2010 to purchase the franchse that has seen tremendous success ever since. The team won the 2014-15 NBA title and set a regular season wins record the following year. Lacob is also a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. He has been with the venture capital investing firm since 1987. He previously had served in an executive capacity for several companies. Prior to owning the Warriors, Lacob also had several turns of involvement in the sports world. He was an initial investor in the American Basketball League, which was a women's professional league that competed with the WNBA. From 2006-2010, Lcabo was a part-owner of the Boston Celtics. He grew up rooting for the Celtics in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Lacob holds master's degrees from both UCLA and Stanford.
