Joe Hachem Biography

Joe Hachem won the 2005 World Series of Poker main event. He was the first Australian to ever win the event, and brought home a record $7.5 million prize. The following year he won the World Poker Tour title and the Bellagio Casino Five Diamonds Poker Classic, earning him an additional $2.2 million and making him one of the most decorated poker champions of all-time. To date he is only one of five poker players to capture both the World Poker Tour Championship and World Series of Poker main event titles. Prior to getting into Poker as a professional player he worked as a chiropractor for 13-years in Australia. In 2000 he began playing regularly in tournaments around Australia before entering the 2005 WSOP as a relatively unknown player. To date he has earned over $11 million in earnings on the professional poker circuit, and also owns and operates a mortgage company.
