About Joe Alexander
Joe Alexander first started playing basketball while living in Beijing, China as a teen and eventually became one of the best junior players in the country. After winning the Beijing High School basketball MVP award in 2001 and 2002 he matriculated back to the United States and played his junior and senior high school seasons at Linganore High School in Maryland. After high school he played one season at Hargrave Military Academy before signing on to play at West Virginia University in 2005. During his college career he earned First Team All-Big East and Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2007 after averaging 16.9 points and 6.4 rebounds a game as a senior. After a solid performance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament he was selected in the first round with the 8th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. Alexander played three seasons in the NBA from 2008 to 2010 with the Bucks, Chicago Bulls, and New Orleans Hornets before heading to Russia in 2011 and signing on to play with Mccabi Tel Aviv in the Israel Premier League in 2014.
