Jerry Azumah

Jerry Azumah had a distinguished seven-year career for the Chicago Bears.  In 2003, Azumah led the NFL in kickoff returns and was elected as an All-Pro and Pro Bowler.  He also had several moments of brilliance as a defensive back.  During the 2002 playoffs, Azumah scored the last touchdown at Soldier Field on a 39-yard interception return off of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.  After being a fifth round pick out of the University of New Hampshire in 1999, he made an immediate impact on his Bears teammates.  Following his rookie year, he won the prestigious Brian Piccolo Award, which is given to a Chicago player who exemplifies courage, loyalty, teamwork, and dedication.  Azumah officially retired in 2006.  He has worked as a broadcaster for a variety of outlets in the Chicago area.  He has also been successful in the business world.  Azumah founded Premier Athletes, a company that provides luxury relocation services for professional athletes.  Last year, he created Goldwyn Laboratories that develops various athletic apparel.  Prior to arriving in the Windy City, Azumah built one of the most prolific careers in New Hampshire history.  He set FCS records for rushing yards and all-purpose yards.
