About Jerome Messam
Jerome Messam grew up in Brampton, Ontario with a love for the game of football. In 2005 he became a top prospect after winning the MVP Award at the NFL Global Junior Championship. He would go on to have a standout career at Graceland University, and then joined the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League in 2010. In 2011 he rushed for over 1,000 yards with the Edmonton Eskimos and earned CFL Most Outstanding Canadian honors. He also earned CFL All-Star and CFL West All-Star honors that season. In 2012 he earned a spot on the Miami Dolphins practice squad, but then returned to the Montreal Eskimos later that season. In 2013 he signed on with the Montreal Alouettes and then joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Messam was named a CFL All-Star and Most Outstanding Canadian a second time in 2016.
