J.B. Bickerstaff Biography

J.B. Bickerstaff has long been regarded as one of the top rising coaches in the NBA. Bickerstaff currently serves as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers after serving for half of the season as associated head coach. He previously has head coaching experiences, spending parts of two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies and serving in that role on an interim basis with the Houston Rockets during the 2015-16 season.

Bickerstaff began his coaching career in 2004 with the Charlotte Bobcats after playing college basketball at Oregon State and Minnesota. After three seasons with the Bobcats, he became an assistant with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bickerstaff was also an assistant with the Rockets and the associate head coach of the Grizzlies before taking over the head coaching positions.
