About Jason Verrett
Jason Verrett was a premier prep athlete at Angelo Rodriguez High School in California and a standout two-way player at Santa Rose Junior College prior to making a name for himself as one of the best cornerbacks in all of football at TCU. After earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors in consecutive years and All-American honors in 2013 as a valued member of the Horned Frogs defensive unit he earned a first round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. With a 40 yard dash time of 4.38 he impressed the Chargers coaching staff enough in preseason camp to make him a starter at the beginning of the 2014 season. Verrett made the Pro Bowl in his second season. He spent four seasons wtih the franchise before signing with the San Francisco 49ers.
