About Jason Candle
Jason Candle is the head football coach at Connecticut. Candle spent parts of 11 seasons as the head coach at Toledo, going 81-44 with two Mid-American Conference titles.
Candle was promoted to the head coach chair for the final game of the 2015 season. He led the Rockets to a win at the Boca Raton Bowl in his first game.
The following season, Candle went 9-4 as a first-year head coach. Prior to arriving at Toledo, he was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Mount Union. He was wide receivers coach for for four years and offensive coordinator for two. Candle was a wide receiver for two seasons at Mount Union and the Purple Raiders won back-to-back Division II national championships.
