About Janet Lynn
Janet Lynn won the 1972 Olympic bronze medal in gymnastics for the U.S. She also won a silver and bronze World Championships medal during her career. Lynn dominated an entire generation of the sport, serving as the five-time U.S. National Champion. Following her run in amateur competition, she signed a contract with the touring Ice Follies in 1974to become the highest-paid female athlete in the world. Lynn retired from the sport just a year later, but made a brief comeback in the 1980's. She has served as a Christian motivational speaker and conservative political commentator.
